Last weekend we were very lucky to get tickets to the launch night of the new Bar and Restaurant in Bristol – Revolucion de Cuba. A Rum Bar and Restaurant specialising in Latin, Cuban and Mexican inspired food and rum-led cocktail ranges. The Bar is situated right on the harbour side and it will be one of the biggest Bars in Bristol in a really great location, spread over two floors. It has tasteful funky décor in a Cuban inspired style, with dark woods, traditional bar counters, antique tiles, vintage furniture, Havana-style ceiling fans and original Cuban artwork and photographs.
Upon arrival we were greeted with free cocktails and garlands to wear, helping us to relax into the amazing party atmosphere inside. We had arranged to meet friends and had arrived early, so we took a seat, drank our cocktails, soaked up the atmosphere and enjoyed the live band, while we waited for our friends to arrive.
Downstairs is massive, it’s separated into different areas, for food, lounging and the Bar area, it has a stage and dance floor at the front which can be seen from all areas of the bar. The actual bar is massive, nearly the whole length of one side to the building. There are so many drinks and cocktails to choice from and plenty of bar staff servicing too.
When our friends arrived we continued upstairs to the Launch party, where there was another live band playing. This band is a very well-known Latin Band from Bristol – Indira Roman & Aji Pa Ti the whole room was buzzing, there was salsa dancing, food and a make your own cocktails booth. Another massive bar with plenty of staff. Really long tables for large groups. People where dancing everywhere, I would imagine it was just like being in Cuba. We really enjoyed all of the food, they provided tasters from the menu. It really was very good and we have already arranged to go back and have a proper meal there.
What you can expect – An electric atmosphere, live music during the weekends, loads of incredible, colourful, mouth watering dishes, served all day everyday, dancing girls, unique taste of the tropics, exotic cocktails, happy and friendly staff, terrace with an open fire pit and waterside views. This Bar caters for everyone from Large group to couples. Book a table
Happy Hour is Monday to Friday 3 – 7pm – 2 cocktails for £10. The Menu is massive and caters for everyone.
Here’s a video to give you an idea of the atmosphere, it’s very similar, this is the launch party at the Manchester Branch
They also have Classic Cocktail making masterclasses, you can just book for cocktail making classes or you can combine the cocktail class with food, such as tapas or deliciously indulgent 2 course meals. There are a few different options. How fab is that, a great girl’s night out. Book a Cocktail Masterclass
